MORE ON THE REAL COST OF LOCKDOWNS
I identified the Covid-19 scam in Feb2020 from basic biological principles and independently published the correct call of the Covid-19 Lockdowns on 21Mar2020.
One of the early chapters in my new book is THE REAL COST OF LOCKDOWNS.
I identified the Covid-19 scam in Feb2020 from basic biological principles and independently published the correct call of the Covid-19 Lockdowns on 21Mar2020, one of the earliest and most accurate assessments anywhere.
I published: NO general Lockdowns! The lockdowns were never justified, provided NO benefit and caused ENORMOUS HARM. Just over-protect the very elderly and infirm.
Six months later on 4Oct2020, world experts published the same recommendation in their Great Barrington Declaration.
In Alberta, we had an excellent Emergency Response Plan prepared by very-competent Lt-Col David Redman that was approved long ago and was tried-and-true. This Plan was shelved and replaced by the deeply flawed, harmful global response promoted by the corrupt World Health Organization and imposed in Canada by the uber-corrupt Justin Trudeau Liberals.
We knew in Feb 2020 from good-quality data that the Covid-19 illness was only fatal to the very elderly and infirm. We also knew from scientific experience that safe vaccines take a decade to develop. We also knew you never vaccinate into a pandemic because all you do is created variants – basic Darwinian biology.
The toxic Covid-19 “vaccines” have killed 15 million people worldwide to 1May2023, excluding China, India and Russia, and that death toll is projected to equal 19 million by end 2023 – that is three “Hitler-Holocausts by the end of this year – the greatest crime of our age.
The harmful Lockdowns and toxic “Vaccines” were criminal acts, intended to sabotage our society. Those responsible should be imprisoned for life for their Crimes Against Humanity.
The following article by Peter Halligan and the Referenced Paper by Kevin Bardosh strongly support my NO-Lockdowns conclusion of Feb2020 – the Covid-19 Lockdowns were an unjustified, costly, harmful disaster!
The scoundrels and imbeciles in our governments and our medical authorities who imposed these disastrous Lockdowns and Vaccines should NEVER BE ALLOWED TO DO THIS AGAIN!

HOW DID THE COVID PANDEMIC RESPONSE HARM SOCIETY? A GLOBAL EVALUATION AND STATE OF KNOWLEDGE REVIEW

“This project was supported by Collateral Global, a UK registered Charity (No. 1195125), dedicated to researching, understanding and communicating the effectiveness and collateral impacts of the mandatory NPIs taken by governments worldwide in response to the Covid pandemic.”
“This paper summarizes the current global state of knowledge on the negative social consequences of the Covid response (2020-2021). Societal harms are analyzed across 10 categories and over 50 sub-categories, based on 600 research papers and evidence syntheses. Categories include: health, economy, income, education, food security, lifestyle, intimate relationships, community, environment and governance.”
The study does not cover C19 injection policies or harms.
“The paper is focused on the impacts of non-pharmaceutical interventions; the author has previously written about the role of social science in pandemic response (Bardosh et al. 2020) and on the unintended consequences of Covid vaccine policy (Bardosh et al. 2022).”
I post my selected Cliff Notes (Coles Notes for Canadians) and extracts below.
Note my comments are not criticisms. We can all be extremely grateful to the author and his team of supporters who have taken the time and trouble to compile this research – privately funded – because our governments clearly do not give a rat’s ass.
This work needs to be forcefully shoved down the throats of those gathering in Geneva as we speak who negotiating amendments to global health regulations and a pandemic treaty by kakistocrats enjoying their 5 star, first class lives as they feed on the tax payers trough.
This gives a hint of the EPIC FAIL of government measures enforced by the jackboot of de facto police states imposed globally.
(I assume that all quality research was available and not censored or suppressed from the possible sources available.)
North American excess mortality (I have removed papers cited)
“Recent high-quality studies from North America suggest 20% of excess mortality was from non-Covid causes in 2020-21: 27% in Mexico, 17% in USA and 18% in Canada. This rose to 70% for those less than 45 years old in the United States and was also higher among non-White ethnic groups Mortality increases were mainly found from hypertension and heart disease, diabetes, drug-overdoses, homicide, Alzheimer’s, and motor vehicle fatalities.”
ELSEWHERE IN EUROPE
“Other studies, conducted early in the pandemic, have found higher proportions in: Greece (62%), Portugal (51%), Italy (40%), Poland (38%), and England (26%) .,”
So, one fifth of North American excess) were unrelated to C19 but roughly double that number in Europe in 2020.
Remember – in the US alone there were around 560,000 more deaths each year in the US for each of 2020, 2021 and 2022 compared to prior years.
“.. the epidemiology of endemic pathogens, including influenza and other seasonal respiratory viruses, were disrupted during the pandemic contributing to less mortality in 2020-21.. “
The flu disappeared completely from the Northern Hemisphere over 2020-21 and was almost certainly diagnosed as C19!
CHILD MORTALITY IN LOW AND MIDDLE INCOME COUNTRIES (LMIC’S)
“18 LMIC’s (all with low overall Covid mortality), (Ed. a study) estimated that 113,962 of 597,422 total excess deaths (19%) were due to excess under 5-child mortality. By comparison, and according to data from UNICEF, 4,480 children under 5 died with a reported Covid diagnosis during this time.”
Amongst 18 LMIC’s 20% of the overall increase in excess deaths was to excess death amongst tots., with 4% of this excess tot mortality due to C19 (no data on co-morbidities amongst these C19 diagnosed tots).
FOR HEALTH CARE SERVICES AND OUTCOMES
“Two meta-analyses on health utilization found a 37% reduction in health service utilization across all categories up until May 2020 across: visits (42%), diagnostics (31%), therapeutics (30%) and admissions (28%). A second review found a 56% decrease in outpatient care across: diagnostics (63%), primary care (60%), specialty care, (58%) in-person visits (56%), emergency care (49%), and treatment (36%) .In addition, two large-scale studies, based on National Health Service data in low- and middle-income countries (LMIC’s), found 13% to 40% declines in outpatient volume in 2020.
Which explains how empty hospitals were in May 2020, people banned from out-patient care and hospitals.
“Service disruptions increased non-Covid morbidity and mortality. For example, a large[1]scale cohort study (61 countries, 15 cancer types) found 15% of patients in regions with full lockdowns did not receive elective cancer surgery.”
ECONOMY
“Economic contraction affected 90% of countries in 2020, with GDP per capita declining by 3.1%: 6.7% in emerging markets, 4.6% in advanced economies and 3.6% in low-income countries .”
A maths check is required here. The implication is that some other category was positive in order for the component parts - -3.7% emerging, 4.6% advanced and 3.6% low income components, cannot match the overall contraction of 3.1%, unless there is a large positive impact elsewhere. In any event, it is my views that GDP per capita globally declined by around 10% - which based on 2018/19 global GDP of 80 trillion works out at a contraction in activity of 8 trillion bucks. Side note: these numbers are a pre-cursor for the impacts that the combined UN IPCC and WHO are aiming for in future – which will be imposed via pandemics or climate motivated health emergencies.
The main message from papers cited is that the rebound is/was bigger than the contraction in activity. I don’t think this is correct. Maybe using air travel as a proxy would be better, or the number of small businesses (outside illegal immigration influences). “no meta-analysis exists that estimates worldwide business closures (known as excess firm death)”.
GOVERNMENT DEBT
“$18 trillion was spent by governments up to September 2021 (88% in advanced economies): $11 trillion in direct revenue and $7 trillion for business liquidity support. Only 8% of spending ($1.5 trillion) was directed to the health sector. The fiscal response is estimated to have been equivalent to 20% of GDP in high-income countries, 10% in upper-middle income countries and <5% for lower-middle and low-income countries.
18 trillion bucks (estimated) was spent by governments in the first 18-21 months of the 48 months of the pandemic – officially declared in March 2020. ALL OF IT WASTED MONEY. Doing nothing and telling people to stay home if they had symptoms and seek early treatment was all that was required (with HCQ or IVM treatment protocols).
This is massive and is far closer to the economic damage – plus collateral damage – caused by lunatic politicians across the world.
This is sufficient to feed the world’s poor and cure them of all the major killer diseases for, not years, not even decades, but CENTURIES. Enough to build modern cities for tens of millions of people and end global poverty and disease whilst securing food and energy security.
THIS IS WHAT GOVERNMENTS AROUND THE WORLD DID – SPEND SOMEONE ELSE’S MONEY ON FAILED POLICIES WHILST IGNORING HUMAN SUFFERING.
“Based on IMF projections, (Ed: a study) estimated that 44% of countries (83 of 189) will face contractions in public spending in 2023, with 2.3 billion people exposed to budget cuts, mostly in middle-income countries (spending in low-income countries is predicted to stagnate).”
No government was ever given the authority to further bankrupt its people at such a rate. The pandemic was over in the Summer of 2020.
EDUCATION
“The pandemic crisis has been described as “the most severe disruption to global education in history”, with 1.6 billion students across 190 countries impacted in 2020 and in-person education closed for 141 days on average between 2020-2021). An estimated 771 million children missed 1.5 years or more of school. A modelling study by estimated a sharp 13% increase in global learning poverty, which rose from 57% in 2019 to 70% in 2022.”
Teachers were still paid, schools still taken care of – parents had to take days off and take more care of their kids, higher home utility bills, device usage sky-rocketed – how could this be quantified?
ENVIRONMENT
“.. the overall growth rates of greenhouse gases did not decrease and increases in methane and ozone occurred in 2020-21, the reasons for which are still not fully understood.”
“there is agreement that personal protective equipment (PPE) waste and single use plastics substantially increased. – (Ed: a study) estimated more than 8 million tons of mis-managed pandemic-associated plastic waste was generated by mid-2021 (especially from hospital medical waste, and from Asia), and that 26,000 tons were discharged into the ocean (representing 1.5% of all riverine plastic discharge).”
Finally, five headings from the “Discussion”
1. Harms are known, far-reaching and alarming
2. Important knowledge gaps need to be filled
3. Harms should challenge our mental model of the pandemic
4. More research on trade-offs is needed
5. There are many lessons beyond the Covid pandemic
Onwards!
