For more than 20 years, I have been writing Alberta’s idiot politicians explaining that their “green energy’ plan to “fight global warming” was a “disaster-waiting-to-happen”.
For more than 20 years, these virtue-signaling imbeciles of all parties have been pushing green energy frauds while increasing power costs in Alberta tenfold, and making our grid less and less reliable.
They have wasted over $5 billion replacing reliable coal-fired power plants with somewhat-less-reliable gas-powered units and much-less-reliable wind turbines and installing two DC power lines that were only needed to support the wind power.
And now, even with all that costly green energy we find that our grid cannot keep up with minus 36C cold, and rolling electrical blackouts could be the norm this weekend.
Repeating one more time for the dumbest of the dumb:
“CHEAP, RELIABLE, ABUNDANT ENERGY IS THE LIFEBLOOD OF SOCIETY.”

Alberta has issued an emergency alert, warning high power demand caused by extreme cold may lead to rolling brownouts across the province.
“Extreme cold resulting in high power demand has placed the Alberta grid at a high risk of rotating power outages this evening,” the alert reads.
CO2 is not too high - it is too low for the continued existence of terrestrial life on Earth.

"Many remembered the “polar vortex” cold snap of Feb2021, when extreme arctic cold penetrated as far south as Mexico, and several hundred people, mostly children, froze to death in their beds. Unfortunately, all politicians and most of the public ignored the significance of that extreme cold event."
This actually happened - yes, people HAVE died due to grid failures.
